TBT: Spring Flower Outfit

I was thinking about the Madison Children’s Museum Benefit Sale, which is this Saturday.  No sale for us this year, but we have bought 4 dolls there in the past few years.  Today I have Caroline, whom we purchased from the sale in 2015, modeling a Throwback Thursday fashion.

This is American Girl’s  2001 (retired in 2003) Spring Flower Outfit.  The trim on the waist goes all the way around (yay!).

The outfit came with blue sandals and a fabric purse that has a similar trim on it.  I don’t believe we have either of those.  This outfit was a gift from my sister-in-law, who most likely bought it at the Madison sale many years ago.

The dress has a unique feature we don’t see much anymore from AG…

ZIPPER!

If you would like to join in #TBT, I would love to see one of your retired outfits.

Oo! I love that dress! Isabelle is yelling out “twinsie!!” To Caroline cause she’s wearing it too! It comes with a really pretty bag but the sandals, although pretty, fall apart, at least mine did.

Sure! I’ll do TBT! Any specific outfit you’d like to see? I have a LOT!!! Hahahaha!

Too funny! I’m definitely going to look up some of those early outfits and leave you a short wish list for TBT next week.

Oh I hope you do! Somehow I find we have all sort of neat clothes but inevitably the dolls are usually in AG logo t shirts or pajamas! I guess you know the state of my wardrobe! I had at one point tried #FancyFriday as well, which is made up.

I enjoyed reading your trip report. My condolences on your guinea pig. I’m glad your mom was able to help you with the decisions.
We hope to go to MCM next year. I would have been tempted by Melody for 30.00!
