Ivy (and Julie) Movie

AG friends, I want to share a blog post with you about Ivy Ling’s new movie.  It’s unusual for me to share someone else’s writing on Dolls Between Us, but I think it’s important to see that amidst permapanties and discussions about who really is the GOTY, AG is still speaking to the lives of Americans of diverse backgrounds.  Who better to share the new Ivy movie review with you than Feminist Asian Dad.  Hope you have time to read it.

I did too, great writing and gave me more insight into the Asian American culture. It makes me happy that these stories impact people’s experiences.

Great post! thank you for sharing. I shared it on our Facebook page. He makes a lot of good points. His sharing of what it was like growing up Chinese-American made me think of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding – another instance of balancing old world and new world traditions and being comfortable with that combination.

I hadn’t realized you had a Facebook community. I joined. Another great Greek movie recommended to me by my Greek friend is My Life in Ruins.
